Why we collect each type
- Account & contact — So you can log in, get push alerts, and so we can reach you for support.
- Verification (certificates, medical, photo ID) — Required to operate a regulated marketplace. Without these we cannot honor "100% verified crew profiles."
- Location — Approximate (always) for U.S.-only enforcement and fraud prevention; precise (opt-in) for the GPS proximity component of the match engine.
- Trip & messaging — The product itself — the marketplace cannot work without trip postings, applications, and crew↔operator messages.
- Financial — To bundle approved expenses + crew pay + our placement fee into one Net-30 invoice via Velari CRM.
App permissions
Your in-app controls
- Push notifications — Toggle each category in Settings → Notifications.
- Precise location — Revoke at any time via your OS settings. The match engine will fall back to approximate ranking.
- Profile visibility — You control which credentials are visible to operators on each application.
- Account deletion — Path: Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete Account. Profile data is removed within 30 days.
Tracking & ATT
Velari does not request App Tracking Transparency permission. We do not access the IDFA. We do not use any third-party advertising or attribution SDK.
Account & data deletion
You can delete your account from the app: Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete Account. We confirm the request, then remove profile data within 30 days. Financial records (trip invoices) are retained per the period in our Privacy Policy and then deleted.
Account deletion is irreversible. Once removed, your verifications, applications, and message history cannot be recovered. If you only want to pause, you can deactivate your profile instead.
